Those that know me will tell you I exist in a fine balance between an obsessive, meticulous, perfectionist with attention to detail and a healthy sprinkling of crazy!
As far as I’m concerned I have my dream job, I’m so lucky to love what I do!
It’s always been about food…
After working as a chef in a number of prestigious London establishments, including OXO Tower, Caviar House, and Simpsons on the Strand, I decided to peruse a long lived personal aspiration of being a self-employed bespoke cake designer
High standards drive me and I never settle for anything less than perfect! Every cake is given 100%, no cake leaves that I wouldn’t happy to pay for myself. My daughter and husband are my chief critics and tasters (sometimes brutally honest), without them by my side, I don’t think I’d be where I am now. I never stop striving to perfect and better my designs.
Getting to know my clients is key. Knowing what they like and understanding their vision allows me to go above and beyond to create their dream cake. I’m honest, I’ll tell you what works and what doesn’t! Some of my long-standing clients no longer give me a design, just a date, colour and theme, on this I pride myself highly.
I deliver cakes that ARE talked about for the right reasons, cakes that ENDURE IN HAPPY memorIES. each cake is a showstopper.
Teaching & cake decoration classes
Sharing a little bit of cake creation knowledge so you can make your own is another passion
I believe that everyone has a creative streak in them, which just needs a little coaxing. I love to share my knowledge and prove, that you too can bake and create. This is why I run various cake decorating classes from absolute beginner upwards, allowing you to find your cake passion and perfect your skills, allowing you to find your cake passion and perfect your skills.
